** No system, no matter how sophisticated, can repeals the laws of physics or overcome careless driving actions. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. When the ESP warning lamp in the instrument cluster flashes, the driver needs to use less throttle and adapt speed and driving behaviour to prevailing road conditions. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Please always wear your seat belts.

1 Quadra-Drive II™ 4WD System
Quadra-Drive II represents the most advanced Jeep 4WD technology. This state-of-the-art active full-time 4-wheel drive system includes a transfer case with a centre differential coupled with an electronically controlled clutch pack and Electronic Limited Slip Differentials (ELSDs).
The ELDSs instantly transfer torque across the axles for outstanding tractive performance. Electronic shift simplifies transfer case operation for the driver. Quadra-Drive II provides the following benefits to drivers:
– Instantly anticipates and detects slip
– Smooth operation and vehicle stability under all conditions because torque is constantly being transferred
– Even torque distribution provides traction to maintain forward motion under most conditions
– ELSDs feature a higher torque capacity than the previous Vari-Lok® axles and react quicker to changing conditions
– Electric shift provides simplified operation
– 4WD Low range multiplies torque 2.72 times and locks the clutch packs in the centre differential for excellent performance in extreme conditions, on steep slopes and on loose or slippery surfaces
– Neutral mode allows Grand Cherokee and Commander to be flat towed behind another vehicle

2 Hill Descent Control
The available Hill Descent Contol (HDC) assists when the vehicle comes down a hill. Active in 4LO when the HDC button is depressed automatic braking is applied, allowing the driver to smoothly descend hills in a slow and controlled manner.

3 Hill Start Assist
Hill Start Assist (HSA) works to help the vehicle reach the highest heights. HAS will momentarily hold brake pressure as you climb, fighting vehicle roll back and eliminating the need for two-footed driving in many off-road situations.

4 GPS Navigation
The available satellite navigation system offers full screen map display with vehicle location and route guidance features, turn-by-turn distance in feet or metres, turn-by-turn screens will pop up in the navigation display in the radio head, upcoming events such as street names and required turns along your route, points of interest on your route and the ability to store favourite routes and locations. The available Integrated Control Unit (ICU) includes a colour display screen with Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT LCD) technology for easy viewing during daylight or at night. Navigation system operates only in certain metropolitan areas. See your retailer for details.

5 ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera
ParkView® Rear Backup Camera* is a rear-facing camera that displays a view directly behind and low to the vehicle, that is often a blind spot. The camera is activated when the vehicle is shifted into Reverse.

6 MyGIG™ Multimedia Entertainment System
MyGIG™ Multimedia Entertainment System includes:
20GB Hard disk drive, MP3/WMA/JPEG storage
AM/FM stereo with a DVD/CD/MP3 compatible player
6.5-inch touch screen display
USB port – Auxillary input jack
AM/FM stereo receiver – CD/DVD player

7 ParkSense™ Rear Park Assist System
ParkSense™ Rear Park Assist System* helps you detect stationary unseen obstacles while backing up. Ultrasonic sensors in the rear send a visible and audible warning signal to the driver to help make backing out of tight spaces easier. Intended to provide assistance to the driver. Always exercise appropriate care while reversing.

8 GPS Navigation

9 UConnect™
The UConnect™ Voice-Activated Hands-Free Communication System uses Bluetooth™ technology to transfer calls between your compatible Bluetooth-enabled cellular phone and the onboard receiver. Using advanced voice recognition technology, UConnect allows you to make and receive calls completely hands-free. A microphone picks up the vehicle occupant's voice, while incoming calls are broadcast through the radio speakers. During use, UConnect commands are shown in the radio display.

10 Rear Seat Video™ System/Video Entertainment System™
Both systems include a video screen, remote control and two wireless headsets. Depending on system, includes a faceplate audio and video input jack or audio/visual jack located on back of centre console.

11 Electronic Vehicle Information Centre
Electronic Vehicle Information Centre is equipped with customer programmable features including language, U.S./Metric measures, door locks, memory (if equipped), Remote Keyless/Illuminated Entry, headlamp and wiper functions, service intervals, compass/temperature display and trip computer.

12 Quadra-Trac I™
The heart of the Quadra-Trac II™ transfer case is the gerotor pump coupling, which supplies hydraulic pressure to a multi-disc clutch pack bridging the differential to the front and rear axles. This supplies an efficient, consistent and quick response to wheel slippage the moment there is axle-speed difference.

13 Electronic Stability Program (ESP™)
Electronic Stability Program (ESP)* is a computer-controlled system that is automatically activated to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle. The computer uses inputs from a steering wheel angle sensor, yaw rate sensor and a lateral acceleration sensor and compares the input to the drivers intended course. Corrections are then made using the anti-lock brake system and traction control plus throttle modulation to help control oversteer and understeer conditions.

14 Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM)
As part of ESP™, this system anticipates the potential for wheel lift by monitoring the driver's steering wheel input and the speed of the vehicle. When Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM) determines that the rate of change of the steering wheel angle and vehicle's speed are sufficient to potentially cause wheel lift, it applies the appropriate brake and may reduce engine power to lessen the chance that wheel lift will occur. ERM will only intervene during very severe or evasive driving manoeuvres.

15 Tire Pressure Monitoring Warning System
The system includes pressure sensor modules that are integrated with the valve stems of all four road wheels. Each module sends continuous radio frequency signals to a receiver and informs occupants via a a low pressure warning indication is shown in the instrument cluster when the pressure is too low in one or more tires.

16 SIRIUS™ Satellite Radio
SIRIUS™ Satellite Radio offers 110 specialized channels to choose from, including news, sports, talk, weather, entertainment and over 60 commercial-free music selections. Includes one-year subscription provided by SIRIUS when the unit is factory installed. Visit siriuscanada.ca to learn more.

17 Multi-Displacement System (MDS)
A seamless process with absolutely no compromise in performance, Multi-Displacement System (MDS) saves fuel by deactivating four cylinders at crusing speeds. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) that tailors throttle response to pedal movement based on operating conditions and maintains more consistent vehicle speed on rolling grades when cruise control is active than a mechanical throttle control Multi-Displacement System (MDS) deactivates four cylinders when the remaining four are enough to meet power requirements.
The engine operates on all eight cylinders for:
– Acceleration
– Heavy loads
– Idling to ensure maximum smoothness
The engine operates on four cylinders:
– In city traffic driving
– Steady speed cruising, even at interstate highway speeds.
– Low-acceleration
– Shallow grade climbing
– The torque requirement is less than 95 percent of the maximum available from four cylinders Both four- and eight-cylinder configurations have even firing intervals, providing smooth operation.

The MDS system operates between 1000 and 3000 rpm.

18 Smart Beam™ Headlamp Control
Uses photometric sensors to detect ambient lighting conditions, including the presence of oncoming headlamps or tail lamps, and automatically switches between high-beam and low-beam settings as needed. The SmartBeam Intelligent Headlamp System automatically adjusts to ambient light conditions and to oncoming traffic to deliver maximum lighting under all conditions. When activated, SmartBeam keeps the low beams on at full intensity while the intensity of the high beams varies from 25 to 100 percent, depending on conditions.

19 DVD Video Entertainment System™
DVD Video Entertainment System™ includes a DVD player, two wireless headphones and video screen
